We are seeking a proactive, curious, and lifelong learning enthusiast Python Developer to become a vital part of our Data service team.

We anticipate that this individual will fully own their responsibilities, raise pertinent questions when necessary, and suggest novel ideas or methodologies.

Responsibilities
  • Implement client-specified user stories, ensuring timely completion and adherence to best practices
  • Address bugs and manage service availability while being on-call during office hours on a rotating basis every 1-2 weeks
  • Engage in planning/grooming/refinement sessions and participate in code reviews
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Python’s core features (decorators, slicing, list comprehension)
  • Capability to craft readable and maintainable code
  • Background in various AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, IAM (cross-account access)
  • Understanding of SQL fundamentals (composition of simple queries, aggregate operations, JOINs)
  • Competency in REST API and its standards
  • Flexibility to perform effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Capability to troubleshoot and investigate issues independently
Nice to have
  • Exposure to AI/ML, including data preparation and labeling for ML models
  • Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, S3, CodeBuilder/CodePipeline
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes and Infrastructure as Code methodology
