Python Developer

We are in search of a proactive, curious Python Developer who is eager to continually learn and join our Data service team.

We anticipate that this individual will fully own their responsibilities, ask meaningful questions when necessary, and offer innovative ideas or methodologies.

Responsibilities
  • Implement user stories aligning with client specifications while maintaining deadlines and adhering to best practices
  • Address bugs and maintain the service, being available on-call during working hours on a rotating basis every 1-2 weeks
  • Engage in planning, grooming, and refinement meetings, as well as participate in code reviews
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Python core features (decorators, slicing, list comprehension)
  • Capability to produce readable and maintainable code
  • Background in utilizing AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, IAM (cross-account access)
  • Understanding of SQL basics (writing simple queries, aggregate operations, JOINs)
  • Competency in REST API standards
  • Flexibility to work in a changing environment without compromising performance
  • Skills in debugging and problem solving independently
Nice to have
  • Background or experience in the AI/ML domain including data handling and labeling for ML models
  • Experience with AWS services like API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, S3, CodeBuilder/CodePipeline
  • Familiarity with CI/CD strategies and IaC methods
