We are seeking a proactive, curious Python Developer eager for continual learning to enhance our Data service team.

We anticipate this individual will take complete ownership of their responsibilities, pose insightful questions as necessary, and suggest innovative ideas or methodologies.

Responsibilities
  • Implement user stories aligned with client specifications by adhering to deadlines and best practices
  • Address software issues and perform maintenance, with on-call duties during working hours on a 1-2 week rotation
  • Engage in planning, grooming, and refining sessions as well as participate in code reviews
Requirements
  • Strong core Python competencies (decorators, slicing, list comprehension, and other language features) with an ability to craft readable and maintainable code
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, and IAM (cross-account access)
  • Basic SQL skills (writing simple queries, aggregate operations, JOINs, etc.)
  • Confident understanding of REST API and its standards
  • Capability to maintain performance in a changing environment
  • Ability to debug and resolve issues independently
Nice to have
  • Background in AI/ML, including data preparation and labeling for ML models
  • Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, S3, CodeBuilder/CodePipeline
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and the IaC approach
