We are actively seeking a dedicated People Operations Specialist to enhance our remote workforce. This position is perfect for individuals who excel in managing HR compliance and documentation, and who are capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a vibrant setting. As a People Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and updating our HR policies and practices, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and support the structural integrity of our HR department.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update employee records with necessary documentation
  • Lead and manage the audit processes for employee documentation to verify compliance and accuracy
  • Act as the primary liaison with our background check service provider
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws at federal, state, and local levels
  • Advise on optimal practices related to internal policies, labor relations, and HR procedures
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to refine HR processes and boost employee engagement
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Human Resources or similar roles
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and audit employee documentation effectively
  • Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Fluent in English with a proficiency level of B2 or above
  • Able to navigate complex and uncertain situations and devise solutions independently
  • Experienced in developing and enforcing internal policies compliant with Mexican labor legislation
  • Experience in managing background investigations or coordinating with external providers for these services
  • In-depth understanding of Mexican labor legislation, including the Federal Labor Law, Social Security Law, Infonavit, among other local regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail with the skill to manage sensitive or confidential documents
  • Established skills in providing internal consulting on HR best practices and labor relations

  • Professional HR certifications such as SHRM or HRCI
  • Proficiency with HR management software and systems
  • Educational background in organizational psychology or a related discipline
