We are looking for a Middle Oracle DBA and Cloud Migration Specialist to manage and enhance enterprise database systems, focusing on Oracle and MySQL technologies.

Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Oracle and MySQL databases on platforms including z/OS, Windows, Linux, AIX, and ESX
- Conduct installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and standard database upkeep
- Define and uphold backup, recovery, redo log, and data retention protocols
- Assess database security and recommend measures to sustain a secure environment
- Monitor and resolve database performance and query issues
- Analyze and advise on database sizing, capacity planning, and resource allocation
- Support the design and deployment of High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions
- Implement automation for database operations to improve efficiency
- Evaluate and assist in migrating on-premises databases to Azure SQL
- Contribute to database cost optimization projects
- Engage in production incident resolution and downtime management
- Review database architectures and suggest improvements for scalability and performance
Requirements
- Practical experience with Oracle Database Administration with at least 2 years in the field
- Experience in managing MySQL databases
- Good understanding of OLTP systems, performance tuning, and indexing methods
- Proven skills in diagnosing complex database problems
- Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery setups
- Flexibility to adapt to changing client and business needs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal oversight
- Good communication skills and a cooperative team approach
- Demonstrated responsibility and initiative in handling complex assignments
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2 level)
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Azure SQL and cloud database services
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure ecosystem
- Understanding of MongoDB database technology
