We are looking for a remote Middle Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will apply new engineering principles to improve existing systems and maintain and enhance network project/product in production environments in public/hybrid cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for performing routine network management responsibilities for LAN, WAN, and telecommunications systems, supporting other associates as needed. You will use your technical skills in configuring enterprise or service provider grade network hardware and operating and automating cloud IaaS networks such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will also have intermediate knowledge of models used to show network state and for configuration, such as SNMP, NetFlow, IPFIX, Netconf, Restconf, gRPC.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance network project/product in production environments in public/hybrid cloud infrastructure
  • Apply new engineering principles to improve existing systems
  • Perform routine network management responsibilities for LAN, WAN, and telecommunications systems, supporting other associates as needed
  • Gather pertinent information about a problem by analyzing data and patterns and identifying underlying issues
  • Research and recommend more detailed solutions to resolve problems
  • Assist with a whole systems approach to analyzing issues by ensuring all components (structure, people, process, and technology) are identified and accounted for
  • Analyze requirements and assist with the design of architecture
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technology and share beneficial information with relevant stakeholders
  • Collaborate with different stakeholders with varied perspectives to develop solutions to issues, and contribute own suggestions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in network architecture, incident management (ITSM), and network monitoring
  • Relevant certification such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, AWS Associate, AWS Network Specialty
  • Strong proficiency in configuring enterprise or service provider grade network hardware
  • Experience configuring, operating, and automating cloud IaaS networks like AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Intermediate knowledge of models used to show network state and for configuration (SNMP, NetFlow, IPFIX, Netconf, Restconf, gRPC)
  • Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses among languages for particular use cases
  • Experience in performing routine network management responsibilities for LAN, WAN, and telecommunications systems
  • Ability to investigate standard or routine issues or incidents and draft concise, balanced, evidence-based reports on findings
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • B2+ English level for effective communication
