Middle Java Full Stack Developer

We are looking for a Middle Java Developer to join our remote team.

Our client is launching an initiative to modernize a set of applications used by subject matter experts to review and editorialize content, which will be used by end-user-facing applications. As our Java Developer, you will contribute to the modernization of this set of applications, leveraging your expertise in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot. You will also work on migrating the front end of the applications from AngularJS to Angular 13+.

Responsibilities
  • Work independently in a small team with the customer engineer and QA
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based microservices
  • Help migrate the frontend of the applications from AngularJS to Angular 13+
  • Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of the applications
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
  • Continuously improve the software development process by identifying and implementing best practices
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to understand and implement their requirements
Requirements
  • 2+ years of full-stack software development experience with a strong background in Java
  • Experience building enterprise applications using Spring and Spring Boot
  • Familiarity with Angular
  • Understanding of microservices development principles and best practices
  • Good understanding of Core Java software development principles and design patterns
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good verbal and written skills in English at an Upper-Intermediate level
Nice to have
  • Experience/knowledge of AngularJS and Angular 13+
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms
