Middle Java Developer
We are looking for a remote Middle Java Developer with expertise in Amazon Web Services, Docker, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and gRPC to join our team. You will develop, debug, and modify components of software applications and tools, driving Operational Excellence for production systems. You will be responsible for writing automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests to support our continuous integration pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Develop, debug, and modify components of software applications and tools
- Write automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests as appropriate to support our continuous integration pipelines
- Drive Operational Excellence for production systems
- Support and fix data and system issues as needed
- Define, develop, and maintain artifacts like the technical design or stakeholder documentation
- Resolve problems as they occur with help from peers or managers and follow through on details, driving issues to closure
- Participate in user story creation in partnership with the teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related major or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of Software Engineering experience with Agile development methodology, continuous delivery, and related engineering practices
- Expertise in Java
- Experience with building, testing, deploying and monitoring services in AWS (EKS, ECS, RDS, VPC, Cloudformation etc)
- Experience with SQL (PostGreSQL, AWS Aurora) or NoSQL (DocumentDB, Redis) databases
- Proficiency with server-side & client-side programming languages and frameworks (HTTP REST, gRPC, Spring MVC/Boot, Docker, Kotlin, streaming Kafka and Flink)
- Familiarity with GIT (version control)
- Demonstrated commitment to technical excellence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- B2+ English level proficiency
