We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Middle Game Tester to join our playtesting team. In this role, you will help ensure a top-tier gaming experience and foster a fair, competitive environment for players across the entire spectrum.
Responsibilities
- Perform playtesting activities for multiple game titles, including both test-case based and exploratory testing
- Set up consoles and mobile devices for playtesting sessions
- Learn to use necessary tools to accomplish daily tasks
- Report identified defects and issues
- Complete playtesting questionnaires accurately
- Assist junior testers in completing and troubleshooting assigned tasks
- Escalate issues to the test lead when necessary
Requirements
- 2+ years of software testing experience
- 1+ years of experience in game testing
- Gaming experience as an active player across various titles and platforms
- Willingness to work from the office during scheduled hours starting at 9-9:30 AM (UTC-04)
- Ability to participate in planned weekend overtime shifts, once per quarter
- Capability to create detailed test cases, plans, bugs, and test results reports
- Advanced experience in installing and running builds on consoles and mobile devices
- Experience in troubleshooting configuration issues for consoles and mobile devices
- Advanced knowledge of PC and Windows systems
- Self-management skills to perform primary testing tasks independently
- Responsibility in taking ownership of testing outcomes and deliverables
- Discretion in handling sensitive and protected client information
- B1+ level of English proficiency
Nice to have
- Ability to coordinate a workstream of 3-7 testers in an established project
- Capability to take testing responsibility for a subsystem in an established project
- ISTQB certification
- Advanced understanding of software quality control processes and software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Ability to follow and enhance defined software quality control processes
