We are in search of an enthusiastic and detail-focused Middle Game Tester to become part of our playtesting team. In this position, you will contribute to delivering a premium gaming experience and promote a balanced, competitive environment for players across all levels.
Responsibilities
- Conduct playtesting activities for various game titles, including exploratory testing and test-case-based evaluations
- Set up consoles and mobile devices for playtesting sessions
- Use necessary tools to accomplish daily tasks
- Report identified defects and gaps in functionality
- Complete playtesting questionnaires comprehensively
- Assist junior testers with troubleshooting and completing assigned tasks
- Escalate critical issues to the test lead when required
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in software testing
- 1+ years of background in game testing
- Familiarity with gaming across different titles and platforms
- Commitment to working from the office during scheduled hours starting at 9-9:30 AM (UTC-04)
- Flexibility to join planned weekend overtime shifts once per quarter
- Capability to craft detailed test cases, bug reports, and result summaries
- Proficiency in installing and executing builds on consoles and mobile platforms
- Competency in troubleshooting configuration issues for consoles and mobile devices
- Advanced knowledge of PC and Windows systems
- Showcase of self-management skills to perform primary testing tasks independently
- Qualifications in taking ownership of testing deliverables and outcomes
- Discretion in managing sensitive and protected client data
- B1+ English level proficiency
Nice to have
- Background in coordinating a workstream of 3-7 testers in developed projects
- Expertise in taking testing ownership for a subsystem within an ongoing project
- ISTQB certification
- Advanced knowledge of software quality control processes and software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Understanding of enhancing and adhering to software quality control procedures
