We are seeking a Middle ELK Support Engineer to join our team remotely.

You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining ELK platform, developing new features/automation/integration. You will be part of the ELK Platform team, which is also involved in supporting PagerDuty and Uptrends SaaS including automation of these platforms support.

Responsibilities
  • Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant Elastic clusters
  • Carry out upgrades and revamping of supported beats versions and self-hosted parts
  • Responsible for SSL certificate rotations, managing capacity, optimizing cost, and the performance of the clusters
  • Maintain and update IAC automation scripts for cluster management and on-boarding support
  • Outline and maintain platform documentation and SOPs
  • Assist in the enhancement of the Observability Platform to support internal customers
  • Manage ELK stack configurations, limits and various aspects of the stack on different layers
  • Act as the primary point for troubleshooting and resolving various incidents and issues
  • Maintain and guide team members on APM usage
  • Coordinate with internal and external vendors for installation, upgrades, and addressing day-to-day responsibilities
  • Support data ingestion and enrichment, data backup, and restoration
Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience in the implementation and maintenance of Elastic search clusters
  • Proficient with various observability technologies including Elastic Synthetics and RUM
  • Strong knowledge of IAC scripts and pipeline tools like Terraform and Ansible
  • Proficiency with Python
  • Knowledge of Helm
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • B2+ English level proficiency
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of AWS and GCP
  • CI/CD experience
  • Experience with PagerDuty, UNIX shell scripting, Uptrends
  • Knowledge of Jenkins, Kubernetes, Linux
