We are looking for a talented Middle DevOps Engineer to join our remote team, working with a leading technology company that provides innovative solutions to businesses worldwide. As a Middle DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the CI/CD infrastructure and tools, with a primary focus on Amazon Web Services and container platforms like Kubernetes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that project work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain the CI/CD infrastructure and tools, including the container platform (Kubernetes)
- Implement features and functionality for major and minor releases, mainly on Automation stack, including Documentum platform technologies as necessary (D2, Indexing Services, Retention Policy Services)
- Work on the technical design of CI/CD components, ensuring scalability, availability, and fault tolerance
- Ensure that project/enhancements work is delivered on agreed time, cost, and quality constraints following the release calendars
- Resolve issues and provide debugging if necessary, primarily for CI/CD tool components
- Address all CI/CD infrastructure technical questions and provide support to cross-functional teams
- Responsible for continuous improvement and management of changes affecting the services
- Collaborate with the application and project management teams that build and manage the applications running on top of the CI/CD platforms to ensure all necessary requests are managed within the CI/CD framework
- Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Amazon Web Services, demonstrating your proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems
- Expertise in container platforms like Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm, enabling you to design and implement containerized applications
- Hands-on experience in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, allowing you to automate infrastructure deployments and manage them as code
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, enabling you to automate repetitive tasks and build custom tools
- Experience with Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, showcasing your ability to manage Kubernetes clusters in AWS
- Excellent communication skills and a strong focus on teamwork, allowing you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and manage stress effectively, maintaining a high level of performance even under pressure
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience in implementing and managing monitoring and logging solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
- Knowledge of other cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure
- Experience with other container orchestration tools like Docker Swarm or Nomad
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices
