We are looking for a remote Middle Cloud Platform Developer to join our remote team.
As a Middle Cloud Platform Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your expertise in GCP networking, IAM, Terraform, CI/CD, and other cloud-related tools will be essential to deliver efficient and scalable cloud solutions. This remote position requires a high level of proficiency in English (B2+).
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Create Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automation with cloud-specific deployment models using GitHub Actions
- Analyze and improve existing systems, services, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security
- Collaborate closely with the development team from the Client side to develop and integrate new functionality into the cloud environment
- Follow industry standards, best practices, and internal guides to ensure the highest quality of cloud solutions
- Communicate with customers on a daily basis to address any queries or concerns related to the cloud platform
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) complex networking, including segregated environments, strict rules, policies, and multiple zones
- Proficiency in GCP Identity and Access Management (IAM), including the creation of custom roles and service accounts
- Strong familiarity with Terraform (Enterprise) for infrastructure provisioning and management
- Experience in automating common changes, such as Local Zones (LZ), firewalls (FW), and networks, centrally
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes, including GitHub Enterprise, jFrog Artifactory, and Artifact Registry, as well as TFE (Terraform Enterprise)
- Expertise in GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) and Istio, including IAM and networking configuration
- Familiarity with VPC Service Controls (VPC SC) and IAM conditions for enhanced security
- Proficiency in capacity management, reservations, and backups in a cloud environment
- Sound understanding of certificate management and hybrid DNS configurations, including on-premises setups
- Previous experience working in enterprise environments with complex requirements, multiple entities under varying regulations, policies, and segregation of duties
- Demonstrated ability to handle responsive support and adapt to unclear/changing RACIs (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed)
- B2+ level of proficiency in English to effectively communicate with team members and customers
