We are looking for a Middle Automation Tester with strong JavaScript skills to create and execute automated tests that uphold software quality and performance. Responsibilities
- Partner with test managers and product owners to clarify and plan test strategies
- Analyze requirements and acceptance criteria to formulate test scenarios and scripts
- Design and build automated tests for functional and non-functional features
- Execute API testing to ensure endpoint accuracy and effectiveness
- Prepare component test suites using mocks and contract testing
- Plan and perform performance and load testing to evaluate system resilience
- Detect issues and document them with precise reproduction steps and logs
- Work closely with developers and stakeholders to resolve requirements and verify implementations
- Sustain and enhance automated test scripts and frameworks
- Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines with quality checks and coverage metrics
- Maintain test documentation in Xray, Jira, Confluence, and Git repositories
- Identify potential risks and recommend mitigation tactics to support scheduled delivery
- Participate routinely in Agile meetings such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience of 2+ years in JavaScript automated testing with Playwright
- Proficient in API testing using tools like Supertest and WireMock
- Knowledge of performance testing tools including Grafana k6
- Experience with Docker and managing test environments
- Strong skills in test case creation and defect documentation
- Understanding of CI/CD processes
- Ability to interpret technical documents for test scenario design
- Good communication skills for working in cross-functional teams
- Experience with Git for version control
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Upper-Intermediate English proficiency (B2)
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
- Experience with component-level testing using Docker Compose and TestContainers
- Knowledge of Kafka and PostgreSQL in test environments
- Experience with Xray plugin for Jira
- Python scripting capabilities for test automation
