Lead Software Engineer is responsible for integrating several advanced technology skills in order to develop and implement software solutions. This individual has 5+ years of experience in similar roles and be able to start a new project from scratch technically. One of their leading responsibilities includes conducting technical interviews, mentoring less mature engineers, and actively participating in various educational programs and trainings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain advanced levels of skills related to primary technology
- Conduct technical interviews
- Act as a team leader in software development projects, coordinating tasks, and ensuring effective communication within the team
- Organize teamwork and ensure efficiency and productivity
- Enhance the development process according to best engineering practices
- Design system components or complete solutions, while providing clear explanations of pros and cons of proposed solutions
- Ensure that technical documentation is written to a high standard in an easy to understand manner
- Able to troubleshoot technical and non-technical impediments
- Effectively plan work and prioritize tasks
- Guarantee the quality of developed solutions and handle technical debt problems
- Ability to present and propose technical solutions to the customer, providing clear arguments and alternative approaches when necessary
Requirements
- Has at least one full cycle project participation experience or participated in several projects covering different phases of the development lifecycle
- Expert knowledge of SDLC phases, SCRUM, Kanban etc. is necessary to evaluate which is better for a specific project
- Experience in designing system components or whole solutions
- Fluency in English (B2)
- Able to read, write and speak the Customer’s Communication Language, and write high-quality unambiguous texts
- The candidate must be able to set up code quality metrics and use automated tools
- Experience in end-to-end automated acceptance tests is preferred
- Knowledge on software security and security testing process and tools is desired
