Lead Software Development Engineer in Test

We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join and strengthen our Quality Engineering team.

The ideal candidate will take a central role in designing, managing, and executing detailed test plans and cases, ensuring alignment with product management and development timelines. This position requires expertise in both manual and automated testing as part of a unified strategy, collaborating with Software Development, DevOps, and Product & Project Management teams.

Responsibilities
  • Create and manage detailed test plans, test cases, and project schedules
  • Ensure testing efforts align seamlessly with timelines from Product Management and Development teams
  • Develop and execute manual and automated test scripts to ensure robust validation
  • Define test strategies that cover product requirements, new features, enhancements, and bug resolutions
  • Implement quality assurance best practices throughout the entire project lifecycle
  • Collaborate directly with DevOps and Software Development teams to deliver quality products
  • Evaluate and improve test cases, assertions, and automation within code repositories
  • Maintain a high standard of quality for both internal and public-facing web applications
  • Conduct performance, load, and API testing to validate system functionality and reliability
  • Utilize testing tools such as Playwright, Postman, Jira, and K6 to address a variety of needs
  • Set up and manage local environments essential for effective development and testing workflows
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum practices, contributing to team collaboration and success
Requirements
  • Background in quality engineering with at least 5 years of professional experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership or team management role
  • Qualifications in version control using Git for managing code repositories
  • Proficiency in creating automated testing frameworks with Playwright or similar tools
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps with experience in Azure Test Plans and Pipelines integration
  • Skills in Node.js, TypeScript, and GraphQL for debugging and validation work
  • Expertise in API testing workflows and debugging using tools such as Postman
  • Hands-on experience in performance testing using tools like K6
  • Understanding of issue tracking and defect management via tools like Jira
  • Competency in continuous integration workflows and code coverage practices
  • Strong understanding of front-end and back-end system interactions
  • Capability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently

  • Familiarity with performance and load testing using tools like JMeter
