We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced remote Lead Shopify Subject Matter Expert to join our team.
You will play a crucial role in developing and customizing Shopify themes, implementing new features, and collaborating with the design team to ensure an exceptional user experience. Your expertise in Shopify, React, Liquid, HTML, and CSS will be essential in troubleshooting issues and staying updated on industry trends and best practices to suggest innovative solutions for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Consult and provide guidance for other team members on development for Shopify
- Develop and customize Shopify themes to enhance the user experience and align with brand guidelines
- Implement new features and functionalities to improve the overall functionality of our Shopify store
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure a visually appealing and cohesive website design
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or bugs related to the Shopify platform
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to suggest innovative solutions for continuous improvement
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience
- 1+ year of leadership experience
- Strong experience with Shopify with a solid understanding of web design principles and best practices
- Experience with Shopify theme customization and development, along with expertise in Liquid, React, HTML, and CSS
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- B2+ English level proficiency

- Experience working in an Agile environment with a focus on Sprints and planning
- Comfortable being client-facing and understanding client needs
- Experience deploying in a DevOps environment
