We are seeking an experienced Lead Scala Developer to join our innovative team.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about designing and implementing scalable, high-performing applications in an agile and collaborative environment. You will work on groundbreaking projects, leveraging your expertise in Scala while contributing effectively in a distributed team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop high-performing, scalable applications using Scala
  • Lead project discovery phases and provide key insights for design and implementation
  • Produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation
  • Collaborate with team members as part of an Agile workflow
  • Translate technical requirements into reliable, efficient code
  • Enhance system performance to meet shifting technological demands
  • Offer technical solutions to complex engineering problems
  • Drive architectural design decisions and system optimizations
  • Facilitate smooth coordination among distributed team members
  • Uphold high standards for code quality and team best practices
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with Scala development, including scalable, high-performing solutions
  • 1+ years of leadership background with relevant responsibilities
  • Competency in project discovery, system design, and Agile implementation methods
  • Familiarity with scaling high-throughput systems for better performance and reliability
  • Skills in creating and refining professional documentation and related assets
  • Proficiency in working with distributed teams and strong English communication skills
Nice to have
  • Background in JavaScript, PHP, or gRPC
  • Understanding of scaling and adapting complex systems in dynamic settings
  • Commitment to collaborative and transparent engineering processes
