We are seeking a highly skilled and seasoned Lead SAP Consultant (Retail Sourcing) to drive the evolution, optimization, and sustained excellence of the SAP landscape for a global retail organization. In this strategic leadership position, you will manage the SAP Retail Sourcing stream, ensuring top-tier operational performance while establishing and nurturing your team within a large-scale transformation initiative.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the SAP Retail Sourcing stream post-transition, serving as its functional and technical authority
- Ensure seamless transition with maximum uptime for SAP Retail Sourcing capabilities, including SAP Rebate WCOCO and advanced rebate types (vendor allowances, VFP, fixed amount, scale rebates)
- Facilitate advanced knowledge transfer sessions to foster a thorough understanding of business processes, configurations, and custom code
- Oversee and validate testing in lower environments and evaluate system functionality hands-on
- Mentor the team during shadowing and reverse shadowing sessions to ensure in-depth learning and readiness for handoff
- Refine and maintain comprehensive operational documentation such as SOPs, runbooks, and support frameworks
- Resolve major escalations and address complex incidents specific to the SAP Retail Sourcing stream, acting as the final point of escalation
- Collaborate with P2P, Finance, Logistics, and MDM teams to manage cross-stream integration and interdependencies
- Cultivate a high-performance team, creating long-term operational ownership for the SAP Retail Sourcing landscape
- Align with stakeholders through formalized stream sign-off while ensuring compliance with service-level agreements
- Represent SAP Retail Sourcing as the leading expert at organizational forums, delivering actionable insights and solutions
Requirements
- 5+ years of background in SAP Logistics with expertise in SAP Retail Sourcing
- Experience leading and mentoring teams within complex transformation projects (1+ years)
- Proficiency in SAP Retail rebate management functionalities, including WCOCO and advanced rebate types (vendor allowances, VFP, fixed/scale rebates)
- Understanding of SAP integration architecture with focus on interconnectivity across P2P, Finance, Logistics, and MDM systems
- Showcase of leadership by managing full transition cycles, spanning knowledge absorption to execution and stabilization
- Competency in curating and maintaining essential support materials, such as SOPs, playbooks, and operational guides
- Track record of resolving critical SAP incidents and handling escalations in high-pressure environments
- English proficiency at a minimum B2+ level for precise and effective cross-functional communication
Nice to have
- Familiarity with SAP Retail Purchasing or SAP Retail Sales functionalities coupled with implementation background
- Understanding of SAP Industry Solutions/Retail (SAP-IS: Retail) within extensive SAP ERP landscapes
- Capability to leverage cutting-edge retail-specific customizations and innovations in SAP
