We are seeking an experienced Lead SAP Consultant specializing in Merchandising to guide and provide expertise in advancing, sustaining, and transitioning the SAP Retail landscape. As part of an impactful global initiative, this role will lead the SAP Retail Merchandising Management stream, ensuring reliable operations and driving improvements aligned with our strategic vision.
Responsibilities
- Lead detailed knowledge transfer (KT) sessions to enhance understanding of business processes, configurations, and custom code within SAP Retail Merchandising Management
- Conduct hands-on exercises in lower environments to confirm and deepen acquired expertise
- Refine and improve support documentation, such as SOPs and runbooks, to ensure operational consistency and efficiency
- Manage escalations and oversee the resolution of advanced incidents within the relevant stream while maintaining high-quality standards
- Ensure uninterrupted service continuity through critical transition activities, including shadowing and reverse shadowing efforts
- Oversee strategic optimization of SAP Retail Merchandising processes over the long term, with leadership emphasis on Pricing, Promotions, Assortments, Listings, and Vendor Contract management
- Coordinate integration between SAP functionalities and external systems, such as JDA Planogram integration, ensuring complete compatibility
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with SAP retail solutions with advanced knowledge of SAP Retail and SAP-IS: Retail Solutions
- Minimum 1 year of relevant leadership experience
- Proficiency in SAP Retail Merchandising domains, including Pricing, Promotions, Assortments, Listings, and Vendor Contract management
- Comprehensive understanding of SAP-IS: Retail as a pivotal component of SAP ERP and Industry Solutions/Retail
- Background in leading integration between SAP solutions and external systems, with significant expertise in JDA Planogram integration
- Extensive qualifications in managing large-scale SAP projects, overseeing transitions, knowledge transfer activities, and incident resolution
- English competency at a B2+ level

- Showcase of experience in SAP Retail Sales and Purchasing processes
- Familiarity with advanced SAP Retail Master Data functionalities
- Expertise in leveraging SAP-IS: Industry Solutions/Retail for specific complex scenarios
