We are seeking an experienced Lead SAP Consultant specializing in Merchandising to provide direction and expertise in advancing, sustaining, and transitioning the SAP Retail landscape. As part of an impactful global initiative, you will lead the SAP Retail Merchandising Management stream, ensuring robust operations and driving forward-looking improvements that align with our strategic vision.
Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive knowledge transfer (KT) sessions to develop and solidify understanding of business processes, configurations, and custom code for SAP Retail Merchandising Management
- Direct hands-on exercises in lower environments to validate and deepen acquired expertise
- Improve and refine support documentation, including SOPs and runbooks, ensuring operational efficiency and consistency
- Take ownership of escalations and oversee resolution of advanced incidents within the relevant stream while maintaining quality standards
- Ensure seamless service continuity by directing critical transition activities, including shadowing and reverse shadowing efforts
- Strategically optimize and improve SAP Retail Merchandising processes over the long term, with leadership focus on Pricing, Promotions, Assortments, Listings, and Vendor Contract management
- Guide integration initiatives between SAP functionalities and external systems, including JDA Planogram integration, ensuring end-to-end compatibility
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working with SAP retail solutions with advanced expertise in SAP Retail and SAP-IS: Retail Solutions
- At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
- Proficiency in SAP Retail Merchandising domains, including Pricing, Promotions, Assortments, Listings, and Vendor Contract management
- Broad and deep expertise in SAP-IS: Retail as a foundational component of SAP ERP and Industry Solutions/Retail
- Demonstrated ability to lead integration between SAP solutions and external systems, with significant experience in JDA Planogram integration
- Extensive background in overseeing large-scale SAP projects, guiding transitions, and managing knowledge transfer activities and incident resolution
- English proficiency at a B2+ level
Nice to have
- Established experience in SAP Retail Sales and Purchasing processes
- Advanced familiarity with SAP Retail Master Data functionalities
- Expertise in leveraging SAP-IS: Industry Solutions/Retail for specific complex scenarios
