We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Lead QA Automation Engineer with expertise in JavaScript to join our team.

In this key role, you will leverage your background in test automation and software development to guide testing efforts and contribute to the reliability of our software products. You will take ownership of designing, developing, and executing automated tests while collaborating closely with the team to maintain and improve quality standards.

Responsibilities

Design and implement automated test frameworks using JavaScript and TypeScript
Develop and execute automated tests using Playwright
Utilize the Chai Assertion Library for writing clear, concise, and reusable tests
Implement Cucumber JS for behavior-driven development (BDD) testing
Manage and maintain test scripts using Git version control system
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure alignment on testing approaches
Identify, analyze, and document defects effectively, ensuring continuous improvement of automation processes
Review and improve testing procedures for effectiveness and timeliness
Advocate for quality standards throughout the development lifecycle

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer
1+ years of leadership experience in relevant roles
Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for test automation
Experience with Playwright for web automation
Strong knowledge of Chai Assertion Library and Cucumber JS
Hands-on experience with Git for version control and collaboration
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, at least at a B2+ level

Nice to have

Familiarity with Bitbucket for code repository management
Understanding of Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment
Experience with Jira for task tracking and project management
Knowledge of the Xray plugin for Jira to integrate test management into workflows
