Responsibilities
- Enhance the performance of current services
- Optimize indexing efficiency with parallelized processing
- Apply per-project indexing strategies for better adaptability
- Enable caching of indexed overlays to improve overall functionality
- Modify the task scheduler to support ongoing overlay downloads and indexing
- Introduce throttling mechanisms to regulate download speeds for optimal indexing rates
- Collaborate with the Solr team to segment indexes to accommodate future growth
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in a related area
- 1+ years of leadership experience in a comparable capacity
- Proficiency in Python programming with a specialization in web development
- Skills in deploying services via Amazon Elastic Container Service
- Background in Infrastructure as Code development and maintenance using Terraform
- Competency in Apache Solr for indexing and search operations
- Familiarity with Redis for efficient data caching
- Qualifications in English language skills for effective communication within the team
