We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Java Developer to drive the success of our software systems, which play a critical role in planning and running Data Centers, including logistics management for the Supply Chain. You will lead a team of developers, collaborate with the client daily, and contribute hands-on to building high-performance platforms that lay the foundation for future Logistics solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assist team members in resolving obstacles and blockers
- Collaborate with a Europe-based Lead to efficiently manage the team
- Represent the team as the Single Point of Contact in meetings with client-side Management and Product Owners
- Conduct hands-on software development as an advanced-level Software Engineer
- Work on the design, architecture, and high-level estimates for project deliverables
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of software solutions
- Provide mentorship to team members to enhance performance and ensure competency
- Monitor project progress, report achievements, and identify risks to stakeholders
- Analyze and solve technical challenges independently
- Contribute to development and integration activities through the full system implementation life cycle
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in developing and integrating software through comprehensive system life cycles (analyzing, designing, implementing, building, testing, and supporting)
- 5+ years of hands-on Java experience
- 1+ years of experience leading software development teams
- Familiarity with SQL for database integration and operations
- Previous experience engaging in direct client communication, including performance reporting and team workload planning
- Showcase of effective problem-solving skills and the ability to independently break down complex issues
- Self-management and competency in prioritizing tasks and deadlines
Nice to have
- Understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Guice, and Protocol Buffers
- Proficiency in utilizing Guava for application optimization
- Flexibility to work with additional modern technologies based on project needs
