Lead Java Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Java Engineer to join our remote team and work with one of our key clients, a global leader in their industry. As a Lead Java Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing microservices architecture solutions, ensuring high-quality code and performance. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and efficient integration of various components.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and efficient integration of various components
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth
- Ensure adherence to software development best practices and coding standards
- Participate in design reviews, offering input on requirements, product design, and potential challenges
- Contribute to the development of automated testing frameworks and tools, ensuring comprehensive testing coverage
- Identify and address technical debt and code quality issues to improve the overall quality of the software
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software development, sharing your knowledge with the team
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Cloud, and/or Spring Cloud Streams
- 1+ year of relevant leadership experience
- Experience designing and developing microservices architecture solutions (Java/SpringBoot)
- Experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases, especially Oracle
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment, especially using Concourse CI or Jenkins
- Experience with JavaScript, especially ReactJS is a plus
- Experience with AWS not required but highly desired
- Experience with OSS Cloud Foundry, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, or Pivotal Web Services is a big plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to develop creative solutions to complex problems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with other cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure, providing a broader perspective on cloud-based solutions
