Lead Java Developer

We're actively in search of a dynamic and highly proficient Lead Java Developer to become an integral part of our remote team.

In this role, you'll take charge of a team of developers, spearheading the evolution of the Jira system. Join us as we carve out the future of Jira entities on the backend, leveraging your Java development prowess.

Responsibilities
  • Guide and oversee a cadre of developers, steering the development of the Jira system
  • Collaborate closely with product and business teams to comprehend specific requirements and deliver top-notch software solutions
  • Conceptualize, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices, upholding software design principles and architectural patterns
  • Conduct comprehensive code reviews and furnish constructive feedback to ensure code quality and maintainability
  • Tackle issues head-on, pinpointing root causes and delivering effective resolutions
  • Ensure the punctual delivery of software solutions, adeptly managing priorities and timelines
  • Actively contribute to the creation of technical documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer to fellow team members
Requirements
  • Accumulated experience exceeding 5 years in Java development, showcasing a profound grasp of software design principles and architecture patterns
  • A minimum of 1 year spent leading a team of developers and overseeing the software development lifecycle
  • Proficiency in databases such as AWS RDS/PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, with hands-on expertise in data modeling, performance optimization, and SQL
  • Robust familiarity with Amazon Web Services, demonstrating the adept application of AWS services to enhance Java development processes
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills, adept at deciphering logs and navigating through Java code
  • Proficient in the Spring Boot framework, showcasing adaptability in software development
  • Strong command of spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, showcasing a deep understanding of Jira entities and development practices
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins or CircleCI, highlighting expertise in DevOps practices
