Lead Java Developer

We are looking for a skilled Lead Java Developer to join our remote team, working with a leading software development company that provides innovative solutions to millions of users worldwide. As a Lead Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying large-scale web applications using Java and JavaScript. You will also need to have a strong understanding of cloud platforms and experience working with highly scalable microservices and their design. Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy large-scale web applications using Java and JavaScript
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather design requirements and implement solutions
  • Craft public APIs and write clean code
  • Provide strong technical foresight to the team
  • Collaborate effectively across time zones on ideas and designs with some of the best architects and developers in the company
  • Partner across engineering teams to take on company-wide initiatives spanning multiple projects
Requirements
  • 5+ years of work experience in designing and building production-level large-scale web applications
  • Experience building services from the ground up, from gathering design requirements and building to deployment and ownership
  • Proficient in Java and JavaScript
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms and working knowledge of highly scalable microservices and their design
  • Ability to craft public APIs, coupled with a passion for writing clean code
  • Solid understanding of application performance and crafting low latency, high-speed http applications
  • Strong technical foresight and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent spoken and written English at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
  • 1+ year of relevant leadership experience
Nice to have
  • Experience with NodeJS and ReactJS
  • Working knowledge of the AWS Ecosystem
  • Experience with operations and incident management
