Lead Java Developer
We are seeking a skilled Lead Java Developer to join our remote team and work on a green field project at an early stage of development. Our project is an internal solution that helps our business keep track of upcoming submissions and communicate this to various stakeholders via in-app visualizations.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Customer Engineering managers
- Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans
- Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
- Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
- Develop REST API endpoints and application logic
- Develop integrations with other applications
- Ingest multiple data sources
- Provide application release
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development, demonstrating your proficiency in backend development using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, SQL
- 1+ year of relevant leadership experience
- Experience in AWS services such as S3, RDS, and CloudFormation
- Familiarity with Jenkins and setting up CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in React js
- Familiarity with modern product development methodologies such as agile, scrum, test-driven development, UX, and design thinking
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proven experience in leading a team of developers
- Fluent spoken and written English at an upper-intermediate level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Programming skills in Python
