We are seeking a highly skilled Global Data Migration Expert specializing in Financial Accounting (FI) to lead and execute data migration activities for global system deployments.
The ideal candidate will ensure the accurate, secure, and efficient transfer of financial data from legacy systems to new platforms, supporting business continuity and compliance across multiple regions.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end data migration activities for Financial Accounting (FI) modules in global deployment projects
- Analyze, map, and transform financial data from legacy systems to target environments, ensuring data integrity and compliance
- Develop and implement data migration strategies, plans, and scripts tailored to financial processes and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and business stakeholders worldwide to gather requirements and validate migrated data
- Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, and resolve issues throughout the migration lifecycle
- Document migration procedures, challenges, and lessons learned to support continuous improvement
- Support cutover activities, ensuring readiness of financial data for go-live
- Oversee go-live activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of migrated financial data
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in data migration and financial accounting projects
- Minimum one year of experience in leading and managing development teams
- Proven experience in data migration projects, with a focus on Financial Accounting (FI) modules
- Strong knowledge of data migration tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Familiarity with SAP FI or similar financial accounting systems
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills for working with global, cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and commitment to data quality and compliance
- Fluent English skills (written and spoken) at a B2+ level or higher
