We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join our remote team and help us optimize our Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Azure environment, ensuring optimal performance and security. You will work with our development and operations teams to deploy and manage cloud-based applications using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm. Your expertise in Terraform, Bash, Ruby, and Python will be vital to automate tasks and streamline our processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain our Microsoft Azure infrastructure to support our cloud-based applications
- Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
- Automate tasks and processes using Terraform, Bash, Ruby, and Python
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of cloud-based applications
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of our Azure environment
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient application deployment
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues in the Azure environment using Prometheus and Grafana
- Lead and mentor junior DevOps engineers on the team
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, with a focus on Azure infrastructure
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams of developers, ensuring successful project outcomes
- Deep understanding and experience in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation
- Proficiency in Shell scripting using Bash and at least one of Ruby and Python
- Familiarity with GitOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in monitoring and logging using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience working in Agile development methodologies
- Excellent communication skills in English, with an Upper-Intermediate level or higher
