Lead DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to spearhead agile teams and oversee AWS infrastructure initiatives with a focus on automation and scripting.

Responsibilities
  • Lead agile and DevOps teams managing AWS infrastructure
  • Implement infrastructure modifications using Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Create and sustain reusable Terraform and CloudFormation modules
  • Evaluate system and process performance and apply enhancements
  • Diagnose and resolve infrastructure challenges in AWS cloud environments
  • Investigate and integrate new technologies to improve current systems
  • Assess, deploy, and support open source tools and technology contributions
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of Amazon Web Services including AWS CloudFormation and Terraform
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code automation methods
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and AWS ECS
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab workflows
  • Strong Linux administration skills (Ubuntu, CentOS)
  • Proficiency in shell scripting with Bash and at least one programming language such as Python, Perl, or Ruby
  • Capability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within teams
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher with effective communication skills
Nice to have
  • Background with server-side technologies like Apache, Nginx, HAProxy, and Redis
  • Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service
  • Advanced automation skills using scripting and programming languages beyond Bash
  • History of contributing to open source projects
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices
