We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team, with a strong focus on AWS Cloud Networking and Cloud to on-prem connectivity. Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of automated cloud network configurations
- Oversee the integration of on-prem systems with cloud-based resources
- Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization and performance
- Develop and enforce best practices for cloud security and compliance
- Coordinate with IT and development teams to ensure seamless deployment of new applications
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cloud operations and infrastructure
- Mentor team members in cloud technologies and DevOps practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in cloud environments
- Manage cloud budgets and forecast resource needs
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in cloud computing
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps Engineering, specializing in AWS technologies
- Minimum of one year in a leadership role with responsibility for managing a team
- Strong expertise in AWS networking including VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and Route 53 hybrid setups
- Profound knowledge of AWS Organizations and SCPs for secure cloud account management
- Advanced proficiency in Terraform and other automation tools for managing AWS infrastructure
- Proven ability to lead projects utilizing API Gateway & AWS Lambda (Python) for building cloud-native applications
- Extensive experience managing IAM roles, STS, federation, and cloud security policies
- Hands-on skills in optimizing EC2, S3 policies, Lambda functions, and other AWS services in production settings
- Advanced knowledge of Python 3 for automation and scripting
- Solid background in agile methodologies, DevOps best practices, and leading engineering teams
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with a proven track record in successful cloud solutions
- Fluent English proficiency at a B2 level or higher for effective collaboration across global teams
Nice to have
- Experience with container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- Certifications in AWS or other cloud technologies
