Lead Developer - SAP ABAP in S/4HANA

We are currently searching for a skilled Lead Developer with expertise in SAP ABAP for the S/4HANA platform to become part of our team.

The preferred applicant should possess extensive knowledge in ABAP programming specifically tailored for the SAP S/4HANA environment and have a substantial background in both system integrations and interface development. The position demands a committed individual who is adept at creating and executing sophisticated solutions amidst evolving business settings.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation and development of ABAP programs tailored for SAP S/4HANA
  • Work in tandem with functional teams to comprehend requirements, converting them into practical technical solutions
  • Manage the development and upkeep of interfaces employing IDOCs, Webservices, and other integration tools
  • Oversee the implementation of ABAP Restful programming (RAP) to boost application efficiency
  • Leverage the latest SAP S/4HANA development methodologies including CDS, BOPF, AMDPs, and Fiori elements/Smart Templates
  • Maintain high standards of code quality and uniformity by adhering to strict development protocols and guidelines
  • Conduct code reviews, runtime analyses, and ABAP performance adjustments for enhanced application efficiency
  • Provide support and guidance for junior developers within the project team
  • Liaise with stakeholders to modify user requirements and craft solutions that address business demands
  • Stay abreast of emerging SAP technologies and development techniques to enhance developmental benchmarks
Requirements
  • Over 5 years of proficiency in ABAP programming, inclusive of ABAP OO and Design Patterns
  • At least 1 year of pertinent leadership exposure
  • Mastery in SAP NetWeaver Gateway and OData services (V2 & V4)
  • Proficiency in ABAP for SAP S/4HANA development (CDS, BOPF, AMDPs)
  • Awareness of SAP Fiori elements/Smart Templates and SAPUI5
  • Training in SAP Business Technology Platform and SAP CAP CDS
  • Experience handling various IDEs including ABAP Workbench, ABAP ADT (Eclipse), and Business Application Studio
  • Knowledge of ABAP Test Cockpit and performance-enhancing techniques
  • History of leadership in project settings and skill in making architectural decisions
  • Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively in an international team setting
  • Fluent English communication competencies at a B2+ proficiency level
Nice to have
  • Proficiency in additional languages, particularly Portuguese
  • Previous involvement with Agile project methodologies
  • SAP ABAP certification for SAP S/4HANA
