Lead Data Steward

BI Analysis, Data Discovery, Data Management, Data Profiling, Requirements Analysis, Collibra Platform

We are on the lookout for a Lead Data Steward to join our team and take on the responsibility of supervising and enhancing data quality, trust, and understanding across multiple domains including Investor, Offerings, Workforce, Financials, and Corporate Services. This role is essential in leading efforts to ensure accurate and reliable data management as a strategic enterprise asset, driving benefits for clients, advisors, and associates.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee a team of data stewards, managing and directing their activities within the data certification framework
  • Serve as the primary contact for advancing data prioritized by Domain Owners
  • Provide expert guidance on data usage, enforce policies on security and privacy, and guarantee data integrity within assigned domains
  • Develop, implement and oversee business rules and document data lineage
  • Manage data cataloging, metadata management, and data governance processes
  • Monitor metrics, provide reports on data domain status, and ensure adherence to governance standards
  • Manage and maintain data classifications including retention, privacy, and criticality, ensuring compliance to regulatory standards
  • Lead data quality improvement projects and initiatives across domains
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in data stewardship, governance, or a related field
  • 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Salesforce for the Investor Domain
  • Strong background in product and services offerings within the Offerings Domain
  • Extensive understanding of Associate and Employees operations in Workforce Domain
  • Deep experience with P&L and balance sheets in the Financials Domain
  • Expert knowledge of legal matters, survey methodologies, and risk management in the Corporate Services Domain
  • Advanced capability to use SQL for data manipulation and interaction with databases such as DB2, Oracle, and Snowflake
  • Proven expertise in using Data Governance tools like Collibra
  • High qualifications in technical documentation and data lineage creation
  • Thorough familiarity with data governance concepts including data quality and privacy
  • Experience leading teams and projects using Jira and Agile methodologies
  • English proficiency (B2+ level) for effective communication and documentation

  • Proven leadership in the wealth management or financial services industry
  • Extensive hands-on experience in creating technical documentation
  • In-depth understanding of data quality practices and metadata documentation
