We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist to spearhead data-driven strategies by guiding analytical projects, creating advanced predictive models, and deriving actionable insights.

This role focuses on employing state-of-the-art data science techniques, collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior team members, and shaping the organization’s data science vision.

Responsibilities

Analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends, patterns, and strategic insights that drive business outcomes
Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve complex problems and support decision-making
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of data by preparing and cleaning complex datasets
Design and optimize scalable data pipelines to manage large-scale processing requirements
Collaborate with data engineers and developers to integrate machine learning models into production systems
Research advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI to harness innovative tools and approaches
Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover opportunities for optimization and business improvements
Define and formalize organizational frameworks, methodologies, and best practices in data science
Provide mentorship and skill development opportunities to junior data scientists
Deliver clear and impactful technical insights to stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains

Requirements

5+ years of experience in data science, statistical modeling, and machine learning
1+ years in a leadership capacity or guiding a team
Proficiency in Python and SQL, combined with knowledge of machine learning frameworks
Strong understanding of core statistical principles, probability, and hypothesis testing with practical relevance
Competency in data preprocessing techniques, including data wrangling and feature engineering
Skills in data visualization tools such as Power BI to effectively communicate analysis results
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, ensuring effective collaboration in cross-functional environments
Exceptional problem-solving aptitude, aligning data solutions with core business objectives
Strong communication skills in English, equivalent to a B2+ level, for effective collaboration
Demonstrated ability to simplify complex analytical findings for varied stakeholder groups

Nice to have

Expertise in deep learning and neural network methodologies
Knowledge of working with cloud-based platforms for data processing and storage
Understanding of data governance, compliance standards, and enterprise privacy practices
Familiarity with specialized techniques like natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision
