Lead Data Scientist

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Data Scientist to develop innovative solutions using advanced technologies, including NLP, generative AI, and large language models (LLMs).

This role will be critical in shaping the organization's data strategy, focusing on life sciences and healthcare applications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of LLM-based generative AI applications addressing real-world challenges
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply and operationalize prompt engineering best practices and advanced NLP techniques
  • Enhance model performance and reliability through experience in LLM orchestration frameworks like Langchain or Llama-index
  • Oversee topic modeling projects, utilizing BERTopic to extract actionable insights from unstructured data
  • Apply Responsible AI principles to ensure AI solutions meet ethical and regulatory standards
  • Identify impactful opportunities to drive generative AI adoption in the life sciences and healthcare sectors
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior data scientists, fostering innovation and excellence
  • Maintain the organization’s technological edge by staying informed of advancements in NLP, generative AI, and responsible AI
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in data science, with expertise in Python, natural language processing, and generative AI
  • Proficiency in implementing large language models and prompt engineering for enterprise solutions
  • Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks such as Langchain, Llama-index, or HuggingFace
  • Background in topic modeling, with practical experience in BERTopic for advanced analytics
  • Strong understanding of AI ethics and Responsible AI applied to regulated sectors like healthcare and life sciences
Nice to have
  • Expertise in developing LLM-based solutions tailored to healthcare or life sciences use cases
  • Skills in embedding AI-driven systems into workflows within regulated environments
  • Understanding of experimental or emerging methodologies in explainable AI or LLM interpretability
