We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Lead Data Scientist to pioneer innovative AI solutions using advanced technologies such as NLP, generative AI, and large language models (LLMs).
This position is crucial in defining the organization's data strategy with a specific emphasis on life sciences and healthcare applications.
Responsibilities
- Drive the design, development, and deployment of LLM-based generative AI applications addressing real-world problems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align and implement prompt engineering techniques and advanced NLP methodologies
- Utilize expertise in LLM orchestration frameworks, such as Langchain or Llama-index, to enhance model performance and stability
- Oversee topic modeling projects, including the application of BERTopic, to extract insights from unstructured datasets
- Apply Responsible AI principles to ensure AI systems comply with ethical guidelines and regulatory standards
- Identify key applications for generative AI in the life sciences and healthcare domains
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of developments in NLP, generative AI, and responsible AI for sustaining the organization’s competitive advantage
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in data science with skills in Python, natural language processing, and generative AI
- Proficiency in integrating large language models and applying prompt engineering in enterprise scenarios
- Familiarity with LLM orchestration tools, such as Langchain, Llama-index, or HuggingFace
- Background in topic modeling, including hands-on experience with BERTopic for data insights
- Strong understanding of AI ethics and Responsible AI within regulated sectors like life sciences and healthcare
Nice to have
- Proficiency in designing LLM-based systems tailored for healthcare or life sciences applications
- Expertise in embedding AI-driven technologies into workflows in regulated environments
- Understanding of advanced or innovative methods in explainable AI and LLM interpretability
