We are currently looking for a seasoned Lead Content Strategist to guide the development, production, and oversight of content across our various platforms.
The perfect candidate will ensure our content is coherent, uniform, and meets both our organizational objectives and the needs of our users. This position requires cooperative efforts with different teams and adhering to the direction of our leadership to craft superior content strategies.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and enforce content strategies that align with business goals and meet user demands
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to devise, produce, and enhance content that engages our target demographic
- Maintain content clarity, consistency, brand alignment, and optimization for search engines and user experience
- Perform content audits and analysis to pinpoint discrepancies, repetitions, and areas for enhancement
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and developers to synchronize content across platforms
- Guide and coach junior content strategists and writers
- Evaluate content performance metrics and propose data-informed suggestions for content improvements
- Keep abreast of trends, tools, and technologies in the content strategy and creation industry
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in a content strategy or related role
- At least 1 year in a relevant leadership position
- Proficient in content management systems
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities
- Proficiency in SEO best practices and content optimization
- Knowledge of UX writing and principles of user-centered design
- Aptitude for working in a collaborative, team-based setting
- Proficient project management skills with the capability to manage various projects concurrently
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or related fields
- Comprehension of analytical tools and data interpretation for content strategy
- Experience in conducting content audits and managing content inventories
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and web publishing
- Skilled in visual content creation tools like Adobe Creative Suite
- Leadership and mentoring skills
- Keen attention to detail with the capacity to think both critically and creatively
- Experience collaborating with diverse teams including product managers, designers, and developers
