Lead Cloud Security Engineer

We are on the lookout for a Lead Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen and steer the security strategies of our infrastructure at Europe's premier online restaurant reservation platform.

As a key figure in the Security team, you will focus on designing, executing, and guiding secure cloud-based solutions that support our SaaS services and high-traffic B2C interfaces. Immerse yourself in our dynamic environment and help us redefine dining experiences across Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee engineering teams to identify, design, and deliver optimal cloud solutions
  • Design secure DevOps strategies in a hybrid cloud setting
  • Lead the application of security measures during the software development lifecycle
  • Develop standardized reusable Infrastructure as Code components
  • Supervise security tools and resources effectively
  • Drive the evaluation of security alerts, the prioritization of issues, and coordinate resolutions
  • Mentor teams in addressing complex security challenges in their cloud configurations
  • Set up and maintain processes for proactive security alerting and resolution
  • Provide advanced training to teams for new cloud-related initiatives
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in System Administration or DevOps, with a background in managing high-traffic websites using Linux, Apache/Nginx, Varnish, Node.js/PHP
  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in related fields
  • Competency in at least one configuration management tool like Terraform
  • Extensive familiarity with DevOps methodologies and Infrastructure as Code practices
  • Skills in using AWS, Docker, and/or Kubernetes at an advanced level
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, including Bash, Python, or Ruby
  • Dedication to security-focused approaches with the capability to lead platform innovations
  • Rigorous, curious, collaborative, and energetic personality traits
  • Strong interest in continuous learning and sharing expertise with peers
  • Showcase of fluent English communication skills in global team settings
Nice to have
  • Background in designing secure network integrations across cloud accounts
  • Understanding of distinctions in cloud networking offerings within AWS and Azure
  • Expertise in performing and leading technical security assessments and remediation efforts
  • Capability to apply Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools
  • Proficiency in differentiating major cloud provider options and cloud orchestration tools, such as Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
  • Knowledge of toolsets like ELK, Prometheus, Istio, Jenkins, and Github Actions
  • Qualifications in leadership, communication, and collaboration when working with DevOps teams and other cross-functional groups
