Lead Cloud Security Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Cloud Security Engineer to strengthen and direct the security initiatives for our infrastructure at Europe’s leading online restaurant reservation platform.

As a key member of the Security team, you will shape, implement, and lead secure cloud-based solutions that support our SaaS services and high-demand B2C interfaces. Become part of a fast-paced and dynamic environment where you will redefine how dining experiences are delivered across Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee engineering teams to identify, design, and implement optimal cloud solutions
  • Design secure DevOps practices within hybrid cloud setups
  • Lead efforts to integrate security measures throughout software development processes
  • Develop reusable, secure Infrastructure as Code resources
  • Manage and maintain security tools and resources
  • Assess security alerts, prioritize concerns, and coordinate remediation efforts
  • Guide teams in addressing complex security challenges related to cloud configurations and designs
  • Set up and maintain processes for security alert management and swift resolution
  • Provide ongoing advanced training on new cloud initiatives
Requirements
  • 5+ years in roles such as System Administrator or DevOps, with background in managing high-traffic websites using Linux, Apache/Nginx, Varnish, Node.js/PHP
  • Leadership experience for at least 1 year
  • Knowledge of at least one configuration management tool like Terraform
  • Background in DevOps and Infrastructure as Code practices
  • Skills in AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby
  • Capability to approach security strategically to drive platform improvements
  • Rigorous, dynamic, inquisitive, and collaborative mindset
  • Strong passion for learning and sharing expertise with peers
  • Competency in communicating fluently in English within an international team
Nice to have
  • Expertise in designing secure network connections across cloud accounts
  • Understanding of cloud networking differences in AWS and Azure
  • Showcase of performing technical security assessments and driving remediation
  • Familiarity with Terraform or comparable Infrastructure as Code tools
  • Proficiency in differentiating key features of leading cloud provider solutions and orchestration tools, such as Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Knowledge of ELK, Prometheus, Istio, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions
  • Capability to lead with strong communication and collaboration, fostering productive relationships with DevOps and cross-functional teams
