Lead Cloud Security Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Cloud Security Engineer to enhance and spearhead security initiatives for our infrastructure at Europe's premier online restaurant reservation platform.

As a key figure within the Security team, you will design, implement, and lead secure cloud solutions tailored to our SaaS services and high-traffic B2C systems. Embrace the opportunity to work in a fast-evolving environment and redefine the dining experience across Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee engineering teams focused on identifying and crafting optimal cloud security solutions
  • Design DevOps strategies that prioritize security in hybrid cloud environments
  • Lead efforts to apply security measures during the software development lifecycle
  • Develop standardized Infrastructure as Code modules with security as a core component
  • Manage security resources and organizational tools effectively
  • Assess security alerts, categorize issues, and direct remediation initiatives
  • Enable teams to resolve sophisticated security concerns in cloud setups and architectures
  • Establish operational processes for alert handling and issue resolution
  • Provide comprehensive training on emerging cloud technologies to relevant teams
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in System Administration or DevOps, proven background with high-traffic Linux-based systems using Apache/Nginx, Varnish, Node.js/PHP
  • 1+ years of leadership experience in a related field
  • Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Terraform
  • Extensive expertise in DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code
  • Background in AWS and container platforms like Docker or Kubernetes
  • Skills in scripting with Bash, Python, or Ruby
  • Proactive mindset regarding security and proven capability to drive platform improvements
  • Rigorous, curious, dynamic, and collaborative characteristics
  • Enthusiasm for knowledge-sharing and professional growth alongside peers
  • Showcase of fluent communication abilities in English within multicultural teams
Nice to have
  • Background in creating secure network architectures between multiple cloud accounts
  • Understanding of AWS and Azure cloud networking distinctions
  • Familiarity with conducting technical security audits and guiding remediation processes
  • Expertise in Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code systems
  • Proficiency in evaluating and comparing cloud provider solutions and orchestration tools (e.g., Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Knowledge of advanced operational tools like ELK, Prometheus, Istio, Jenkins, Github Actions
  • Qualifications that include strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, paired with a passion for guiding DevOps teams and cross-functional cooperation
