We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Cloud Engineer with AWS expertise to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in networking, local storage synchronization, and cloud infrastructure management. As a Lead Cloud Engineer, you will be tasked with maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting systems and infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and optimal performance, while also providing leadership and guidance to the engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions on AWS
- Lead local storage synchronization initiatives to ensure data integrity and accessibility
- Develop and refine network configurations to meet organizational needs
- Monitor system performance continuously and implement necessary optimizations
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and network services
- Collaborate with other department leads to align cloud strategies with overall business goals
- Mentor and lead a team of cloud engineers, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer
- At least one year of experience in leadership and team management
- Demonstrated participation in at least one full cycle project or multiple projects covering different phases of the development lifecycle
- In-depth knowledge of networking and telecommunication systems
- Proficiency in managing AWS cloud environments and services
- Experience in configuring and managing network services to support complex enterprise operations
- Familiarity with Qumu for managing and optimizing video content in the cloud
- Advanced skills in using Terraform for infrastructure as code to efficiently build, change, and version infrastructure
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, capable of a B2 level or higher for effective leadership and cross-team collaboration
Nice to have
- Certifications in AWS or other relevant cloud technologies
- Experience with multi-cloud environments and services
- Background in implementing and managing hybrid cloud solutions
