We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Automation and API Research Specialist.

In this role, you will support the development of a cloud security posture management solution. You will play a crucial part in researching service scopes, validating APIs, and designing automated workflows for data collection and validation. Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on cloud service scopes and API specifications for AWS, Azure, and additional providers
  • Identify key API endpoints and parameters relevant to cloud security posture management
  • Analyze cloud security services, configurations, and associated risks to define robust testing scopes
  • Design and develop Python scripts for automating API interactions and service validations
  • Build and maintain Terraform configurations to simulate cloud environments and automate resource provisioning for testing
  • Create YAML and JSON configuration files for the automated scraper to ensure accurate and repeatable API data collection
  • Perform REST API testing to validate service endpoints, handle error conditions, and identify potential misconfigurations
  • Implement automated workflows to verify infrastructure consistency and detect deviations across cloud environments
  • Establish a comprehensive testing framework that supports business requirements and cloud security compliance
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to understand business objectives and translate them into technical requirements
  • Document service scopes, API workflows, Terraform modules, and automated processes in a clear and organized manner
  • Provide regular reports and insights on automation outcomes, test coverage, and areas for improvement
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, including Identity and Access Management, Virtual Private Cloud, Elastic Compute Cloud, Lambda, Simple Storage Service, and associated APIs
  • Strong background in cloud security and security-related expertise
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and APIs, including Azure Resource Manager and Azure Security Center
  • Familiarity with APIs from additional providers such as Google Cloud Platform, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Alibaba Cloud, or Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting, API automation, and data processing
  • Strong experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code to automate cloud resource deployment
  • Familiarity with REST API protocols, JSON and YAML formats, and API testing tools such as Postman and Swagger
  • Understanding of cloud security principles, including access control, resource isolation, and internet exposure risks
  • Ability to identify and model misconfigurations such as public exposure of resources and misconfigured load balancers
  • Fluency in English
