Lead Business Analyst

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Lead Business Analyst to guide our distributed team in delivering long-term support for a custom insurance policy administration application.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to lead collaboration efforts among business users, vendors, and development teams, driving system enhancements and process optimization for a well-established insurance company specializing in commercial products and services.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and guide configuration activities for the insurance policy administration application
  • Lead the review and optimization of configuration filework practices, including rating, UI, error messages, and document prototypes
  • Define strategic Epics, Features, and User Stories in MS Azure DevOps to implement complex functionalities and drive scalability
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive knowledge repository through active documentation using MS Office and SharePoint
  • Take ownership of triaging production issues and ensure timely resolution by the CORE team
  • Supervise the creation and update of issue understanding documents to promote clarity and resolution consistency
  • Drive the development of comprehensive user requirements documents and outline solution strategies
  • Lead and facilitate requirement elicitation and estimation sessions with stakeholders
  • Act as the primary liaison among business users, vendor teams, and development members to unearth challenges and identify actionable solutions
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis
  • At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
  • Extensive insurance domain expertise across processes and platforms
  • Proven ability to perform detailed documentation and conduct in-depth system analysis
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL within business analysis contexts
  • Demonstrated expertise in documenting complex requirements during technical and business knowledge transfer sessions
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and providing strategic support for growing accounts and teams
  • Experience leading and collaborating within distributed team environments
  • Advanced English communication skills with a demonstrated ability to hold effective client-facing discussions (B2+ level)

  • Proficiency with Insurity software and customization capabilities
  • Deep understanding of Property and Casualty insurance workflows and processes
  • Experience with advanced requirements and change management strategies
