We are seeking a Lead Automation Tester in Java to join our team. You will become part of a skilled quality assurance community that ensures the reliable delivery of complex applications across diverse platforms and devices. Responsibilities
- Define testing strategies and identify the necessary actions to ensure effective quality coverage across projects
- Manage and execute TV application tests on a wide range of devices to guarantee consistent user experience
- Diagnose and analyze the root cause of issues on both the front-end and back-end sides
- Run regression, performance, integration, and other non-functional tests to ensure successful deployments
- Document and report defects with the appropriate level of technical detail to support investigation with VO teams, clients, and partners
- Set up and maintain accurate and reliable test environments to enable stable and repeatable testing
- Automate and maintain test cases using robots and automation frameworks
- Actively collaborate within cross-functional teams, making quality a priority at every stage of the delivery process
- Build strong client relationships by effectively communicating quality findings and testing strategies
- Maintain and evolve QA best practices, including planning, data preparation, and test automation
- Define and monitor quality metrics to ensure that established objectives are consistently met
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- At least 5 years of professional relevant experience in quality assurance and test automation
- At least one year of experience in people management or team leadership, guiding teams of 5 or more FTEs
- Hands-on experience testing STB, Android, iOS, and Web applications, including installation and daily use
- Practical experience with log collection and analysis using ADB
- Solid working knowledge of Linux environments
- Experience with API testing and analysis to validate integrations and services
- Skills in network analysis using tools such as Wireshark
- Proficiency in ticket management using Jira for tracking and workflow control
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Witbe, Selenium, and Appium
- Fluent English for direct communication with clients
- Ability to work effectively with remote teams across different time zones
- Strong analytical thinking with a solution-oriented mindset
- Self-driven and proactive approach to work and problem-solving
