Lead Automation Tester in Java

Our team is seeking a seasoned and committed Lead Automation Tester with expertise in Java.

The ideal candidate will lead the development, deployment, and optimization of automated testing frameworks to ensure and maintain superior quality throughout our software development lifecycle. We welcome candidates with a sharp eye for identifying defects and a strong dedication to improving software quality to apply for this exciting role.

Responsibilities
  • Design functional, integration, and acceptance tests
  • Develop automated testing strategies for regression, functional, and smoke tests
  • Ensure seamless integration of testing stages within the DevOps pipeline
  • Identify and resolve system discrepancies promptly
  • Conduct automation testing for backend services
  • Monitor and document defects with attention to detail
  • Administer test data and manage testing environments effectively
  • Handle version control of testing scripts
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; preference for those with a Master’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years in Quality Assurance and at least 3 years in test automation development
  • 1 year or more of applicable leadership experience
  • Proficiency in Gradle, Groovy, Java, Selenium, and Serenity BDD
  • Background in developing and maintaining automation scripts
  • Capability to build testing frameworks from scratch
  • Expertise in white box testing and mocking techniques
  • Competency in agile methodologies paired with exceptional analytical skills
  • Skills in functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Background in designing unit tests for edge cases, usability, and system reliability
  • Understanding of manual testing techniques
  • Flexibility to incorporate testing strategies into CI/CD pipelines
  • Qualifications in documentation with fluency in English (B2 level or higher)

  • Understanding of CI/CD methodologies
  • Proficiency in GitHub
  • Background in Kubernetes
