Lead Automation Tester in Java

We are looking for a skilled Lead Automation Tester to join our supportive and innovative team.

In this role, you will ensure the exceptional quality of a vital component of our application, the Pricing/Quotes services, which processes millions of requests daily across various functions within the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Write and define functional, integration, and acceptance test cases
  • Automate regression, functional, and smoke testing processes
  • Plan automation tasks to align with team testing standards
  • Integrate test cycles into the DevOps pipeline
  • Work creatively to troubleshoot and resolve system challenges effectively
  • Develop automation for testing back-end services
  • Document and communicate defects with precision
  • Manage test data and environments with efficiency
  • Control test script versions and ensure updated maintenance
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; master’s degree is an advantage
  • A minimum of 7+ years in Quality Assurance with at least 5+ years focused on test automation or a combined development and testing background
  • Background in developing and maintaining automation scripts that meet acceptance criteria
  • Expertise in creating testing frameworks from the ground up
  • Whitebox testing competency with evidence of functional mocking
  • Understanding of agile methodologies with direct implementation experience
  • Demonstrated skills in functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Proficiency in writing comprehensive unit tests for edge cases, usability, and reliability
  • Solid manual testing skills at an advanced level
  • Experience in integrating automated testing with CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong analytical ability paired with organizational and troubleshooting skills
  • Background in financial services or wealth management is a significant advantage
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of Groovy scripting
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools
