Lead Automation Tester in Java

Our team is seeking a skilled and committed Lead Automation Tester with expertise in Java.

The ideal candidate will lead efforts to design, implement, and enhance automated testing frameworks to ensure and uphold high-quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities
  • Design functional, integration, and acceptance tests
  • Develop automated testing strategies for regression, functional, and smoke tests
  • Integrate testing stages seamlessly within the DevOps pipeline
  • Identify and resolve system inconsistencies quickly
  • Conduct automation testing on backend services
  • Monitor and document defects meticulously
  • Administer test data and environments effectively
  • Maintain version control of testing scripts
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field; preference for Master’s degree holders
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance, including at least 3 years in test automation development
  • At least 1 year of leadership experience
  • Proficiency in Gradle, Groovy, Java, Selenium, and Serenity BDD
  • Background in developing and managing automation scripts
  • Expertise in building testing frameworks from scratch
  • Competency in white box testing and mocking techniques
  • Flexibility to use agile methodologies combined with strong analytical skills
  • Understanding of functional, integration, and regression testing
  • Skills in designing unit tests to address edge cases, usability, and system reliability
  • Qualifications in manual testing techniques
  • Capability to integrate testing approaches within CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong documentation skills and proficiency in English (B2 level or higher)
Nice to have
  • Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies
  • Familiarity with GitHub
  • Background in Kubernetes
