We are seeking a Lead Apigee X Engineer with a passion for data and a focus on turning API data migration into a strategic asset.

This role is pivotal to our business, where data serves as our product, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while contributing to high-visibility, critical projects.

Responsibilities

Migrate API configurations and settings for processing diverse data sets
Transition proxies, shared flows, reports, monitors, users, customers, and custom configurations
Conduct volume and performance tests with simulators and host system integrations
Address technical challenges and articulate risks and obstacles clearly
Deliver complex technical solutions with efficiency and consistent results

Requirements

A minimum of 7 years of IT experience, including 5 years with Java coding
Hands-on experience with at least one full project lifecycle migration to Apigee X from an earlier version of Apigee
Expertise in Java, REST APIs, SQL, and microservices
Background in Apigee Edge, Apigee X, and Google Cloud (GCP)
Proficiency in MySQL, Big Query, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Anthos
Familiarity with cloud-native development and operations, particularly on GCP
Competency in big data principles and data engineering practices
Strong organizational and communication skills with fluency in English
Capability to quickly adapt to emerging technologies, tools, and techniques relevant to data migration
Proven ability to work as part of a team while effectively sharing knowledge

Nice to have

Background in delivering 2-3 Apigee X migrations from earlier versions, covering the full project lifecycle
Experience completing migration projects with a Google service provider
Understanding of Python, Java, ReactJS, and AngularJS
Certification in relevant technologies
Knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, and protocols
