We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Android Engineer to join our innovative team focused on delivering cutting-edge Telecom solutions.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the development of our native Android applications, leveraging modern mobile and cloud technologies to create impactful and scalable products.
Responsibilities
- Lead collaboration efforts with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to ensure alignment on project goals
- Define and optimize technical solutions tailored to customer infrastructure and business needs
- Contribute to architectural and design decisions, driving technical excellence
- Mentor and guide other engineers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing
- Ensure high-quality code and performance standards via unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization
- Partner with DevOps colleagues to streamline CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to influence future product development
- Actively participate in Scrum team ceremonies, contributing to continuous delivery and iterative improvement
- Investigate and resolve critical issues in a timely manner to maintain platform reliability
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in mobile software development
- Knowledge of Android development practices including TDD, unit testing, performance optimization, Firebase, and Google Play Services
- Expertise in Java, focusing on advanced features such as concurrency, collections, generics, and streams
- Background in SDLC models including experience with GitHub for version control and frameworks like Scrum or Kanban
- Proficiency in designing scalable solutions that align with customer infrastructures and business objectives
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services including Cloud Run, Spanner, Looker, and Dataflow
- Background in Google internal development tools such as Piper, Blaze, Cider, Critique, Mendel Flags, and GCL
- Skills in C++, focusing on concurrency, memory management, STL, and templates
- Competency in Go for efficient and scalable backend development tasks
- Flexibility to use Terraform for infrastructure automation
